Me time is proven to make you more productive, happier and engaged with your work, family and friends… So why do we find it so incredibly hard to accept that we deserve this time?
If you are a mama, you more than likely have the same problem as all of the other mama’s. You are so busy with the overwhelming “mental load of motherhood”, that not only do you feel like you don’t have the time for “me time”, but if you even take a moment for yourself, you feel guilty on top of it. When I try to take “me time”, I end up sitting there thinking of all the things I should be doing to be productive all while feeling guilty that I’m not tending to my child or husband’s or bosses needs. But that is insane, right? I mean, we should be able to take some time for ourselves without having our minds race and stress about what we should be doing.
